What Is Kickstarter?

Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform that helps creators like us fund new projects through public ‘backing’ (or ‘pre-orders’). Creators set a funding goal, and if this isn’t met by the time the campaign ends – no money is collected from backers.

Here’s how it works:

Step 1 – Head to our Kickstarter page here.
Step 2 – Click on ‘Notify Me On Launch’.
Step 3 – Enter a few details to create a Kickstarter account.
Step 4 – Once our campaign is live, you’ll get notified by e-mail that you can ‘pre-order’ the game!

REMEMBER! If you pre-order the game in the first 24 hours of our campaign going live, you’ll get 20% off through our earlybird discount!

• Our funding goal will be based on how much it will cost us to print our game in bulk.
• Once our campaign is live, we have 30 days to achieve our funding goal, through public backing.
• If we meet or exceed this funding goal when the 30-day window closes, the money is collected, and we can then order our bulk print run through our manufacturer.
• Once we have the games in our hands, we can then start ‘fulfilling’ these orders, and sending copies to all our backers!

• When our Kickstarter campaign is live, you will be able to ‘back’ us by selecting a different reward tier.
• Reward tiers will vary, such as:
  • standard copy of the game (with earlybird 20% discount)
  • standard copy of the game
  • limited edition copy of the game
  • 2 copies of the game (at a discount)
  • other exciting ‘add-ons’
• By choosing to back these reward tiers, you are essentially ‘pre-ordering’ the game (your payment details are collected at the time).
• However, if we don’t reach our funding goal at the end of the campaign, no money is collected from you – and no games are ordered.

This is why we’re doing everything we can to try and promote the game ahead of our Kickstarter launch. We want to give ourselves the best chance of being funded, so that you have the best opportunity to get your hands on the game! Any support on this front would be hugely appreciated – spread the word to your friends and family!

• Make sure you head to our Kickstarter page, and click ‘Notify Me On Launch’ to ensure you don’t miss out when our campaign goes live. (We will be offering a 20% discount for anyone who backs the game in the first 24 hours).
• As above, spread the word! Tell your besties, your dog-walker, your hairdresser, Auntie Sheila, and Dave across the road about the game. The more people we have following our Kickstarter page, the more chance we have of getting successfully funded!

Kickstarter works slightly different to general orders online – tax and shipping costs aren’t included in the amount you ‘back’. If we are successfully funded, we will reach out to all our backers after the campaign ends to confirm the additional shipping and tax costs, based on where you live. We’ll aim to give some expected shipping costs (based on region of the world) on our Kickstarter page when we go live, to give you an indication of what you might need to pay.
