Both me and the little one enjoyed this a lot and it’s exactly the sort of game that gets to the table a lot in our house. It’s quick to set up, got an accessible rule set and it’s easy enough to learn with both players having a good chance of winning. I found myself getting quite excited building up combos to be able to secure the cards I needed and the little one really enjoyed the mean element of being able to ruin my hand and steal my cards.

Cat Among the Pigeons is exactly what it says on the tin: an easy-to-play family-friendly set collector with sassy cats! It’s accessible enough for my family & entertaining enough for a gamenight filler. Family card games are a dime a dozen, but the tricky cats and quirky character design is what made this one stand out to me. I’m looking forward to introducing it to more of my family.

This one thrives on its simplicity and the moments it creates. It’s not trying to be a deep strategy game and it doesn’t need to be. The groans when a cat enters someone’s hand are always funny. A great little addition if you’re after something light, chaotic, and easy to get to the table.
